WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Inscope Medical Solutions, an innovative medical device company, today announced the launch of the first laryngoscope with integrated controllable suction. Inscope Direct is a disposable laryngoscope that allows clinicians to maintain a clear view of the airway. This device is designed to be the best choice for trauma intubation, without the need to toss between yankauer suction and endotracheal intubation, while ensuring airway safety. The device can be demonstrated during the American Academy of Emergency Physicians' Conference of Science (ACEP) at booth 2411 from October 29 to November 1, 2017.
Inscope Direct’s integrated suction removes secretions so that the vocal cords can be clearly seen for easy placement of the endotracheal tube. The device has a built-in LED light source and an anti-clogging design with two controllable suction ports. There is no need to use a yankauer suction catheter because it can easily remove existing and re-accumulated secretions. Inscope Direct connects to a standard suction tube and is compatible with wall suction and electric portable suction. The convenient MAC 3.5 blade size fits most adults, and each device is disposable to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination.
